New Bern on the 4th

We went to a church service at Christ Church in New Bern. I'm pretty sure that it is older than our country. They had an authentic 1700's church service on the 4th of July. It was pretty cool. They had a band playing outside.

The Pool

Hudson loves the pool. After the beach, we went to the pool at his cousins' house. He eventually passed out on Heather.

The Beach

Hudson loved the beach ... he prefers the pool ... but loves the beach.

July 4th

We went to New Bern and saw tons of fireworks. Hudson was utterly amazed.

Hill Ridge Farms

Heather, Hudson, Grandmom Rhonda, and Maddie went to Hill Ridge Farms. They have a giant slide, a petting zoo, and other cool stuff.

Hudson loves his cousins!

Total Protection

Heather made sure that Hudson was VERY PROTECTED on his first trip to the beach. He is completely lubed up with sunscreen, wearing his protective goggles, and trusty flap hat.

Watching Hudson!

Note: a picture of my dad is on the way!

Growing, growing, growing.

For all of you who are eager to know how Hudson is growing we went to the doctor today for a check up. He weighs 20lb 13 1/2 oz which puts him in the 50th% and he is 29 and 1/4 in. which puts him in the 75th%. Still no signs of teeth but other than that, all is great.

He had his first beach visit over the holiday weekend. We will be sure to get pictures up soon. He loves water and that includes the ocean. It was a little choppy so we just sat on the shore and let the waves come to us.

He also really liked the fireworks. We were far enough away so that the noise was minimal but close enough to get a good view. If he really liked a firework he would tell us.

Update: Pendleton Style 2008

Heather's Update:

Our little blue eyed boy is nine months!! I can hardly stand how fast he has grown. Time to start workng on baby number two and maybe three (Chris just passed out).

Hudson is such a joy. I have been home with him nearly two months and we have been getting into all sorts of fun. He enjoys anything plastic, especially granola bar wrappers. He is also becoming very skilled at the art of masonary with the use of his foam blocks.

New milestones: Crawling as of June 29th. Trying new foods and new textures. Babbling on and on and on. Smiles that melt hearts. No teeth but chewing on anything and everything. Watch out world Hudson is on the move!!!

Chris' Update:

Hello friends. It's me ... Chris. Yes, it's true, I'm typing this completely naked. I enjoy the feeling of pleather on my bare buttock. I'm kidding ... my buttock prefers real leather. No really ... I'm not naked. I just feel naked. Seriously, I'm clothed.

In any case, Hudson is fun. He's a hoot. He cracks me up. I love 'em.

The days here in Durham go by very slow at work and fast in the evenings. I have very little time to walk around my house in the nude. I'm kidding ... I don't walk around in the nude. I prefer running and dancing.

We hope you all are doing well and love the pictures. Our camera is a 10.1 mega pixel so it takes a dang long time for them to upload. So please ... enjoy.

Up Close and Personal: Hudson Style

Veggies!

Nothing makes a mother and dietitian prouder then to see her child take after her. Too bad he would rather play with these foam vegetables than to eat the real things. +

Holy Hair, Batman!

Hudson was sleeping with Heather. He was REALLY sweating. Check out his hair when he woke up ....
